On July 17, 2024 in Minsk, at the Palace of the Republic, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik presented well-deserved awards to the best enterprises of the country. The awards were given for achieving significant results in the quality and competitiveness of products, services or works, innovative technologies and modern management methods for the year 2023. 29 local organizations were named the winners of the contest. Seven of them became winners of the award for the first time, 22 companies including OJSC “Brest Distillery “Belalco” confirmed their high status. We are also proud to inform you that during the awarding ceremony the General Director of OJSC “Brest Distillery “Belalco” Alexander Vladimirovich Romanovsky was awarded with the pin “Quality Leader”! It should be noted that this honorary award was given to only four managers from all over the republic who achieved the highest results in product quality. “It is symbolic that the 25th anniversary of Belarusian contest in quality coincided with the Year of Quality announced by the Head of our state,” underlined Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik. - In today’s reality the decision is more timely than ever: strengthening sanctions, rising prices for raw materials and components, fierce competition in sales markets, the need to develop new production facilities and develop new products. In such conditions the high quality of our products and services is the only reliable foundation and it ensures the competitiveness of our enterprises, industries and national economy”. Deputy Prime Minister noted how difficult it was to choose the 30 best enterprises. The Commission took a very long time to summarize the results looking for the best companies which successfully represent our country abroad. “I am not surprised by the results of the industrial sector as I have been in it for a long time, but I am pleased to see how much our food industry is changing, the range of products is expanding, its quality is improving,” said Petr Parkhomchik. The Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for Achievements in Quality was established by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1705 of November 5, 1998. Its aim is to increase the competitiveness of products, works and services produced in the Republic of Belarus and to ensure the recognition of achievements in the quality of products (works and services). The same Resolution approved the Regulation on the Award of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in quality and the Regulation on the Commission for Awarding the Prize.
